]]>I'm not really big on making holiday items because they can't be used any other time of the year. But I do love the holidays! I picked up these papers to make these journals because I thought they were subtle, but had a hink of holiday :) Plus they were just plain cute.

I was focusing on my other store Bound.To for a minute, but I was also sketching away for some new ideas for Saidie. Now that I have finalized a few of my illustrations, they are up in my store as prints, gocco prints, cards, and moleskines. Here's a preview:

biggs and feather has the best smelling soaps. i bought a 3-pack of thier barbados soap, mind soak, and soul kiss lip balm for a friend of ours who couldn't make it because she wasn't feeling too good. you can find it here.

About a month or two ago, I contacted Rakel Ingero after seeing some of her previous work (check out her portfolio: www.ingero.com). She is so friendly and really great to work with. I wasn't completely sure what I wanted to do, but I knew I didn't want it to be something so obvious, like just a book. I thought it would be cute to use a small animal like a hedgehog, mouse, or possum. I decided on the hedgehog after Rakel wisely pointed out that possums are kind of creepy looking :)
I was a little indesisive at times but she totally worked with me. When I mentioned that I'd like a little color added in somewhere, she added the adorable bird and snail.
i changed the banner and avatar in my shop too, they're pretty basic looking right now, but I think it makes the banner look nice and clean. I might do some tweaking later.

I recently got an iphone (after my friend used the Google maps/GPS function on hers to locate a froyo place when we spontaneously decided we needed to go one day in DC, I had to have one...well there are a million other cool features too). I wanted to find a cute case so it wouldn't get all scratched up like my old ipod, but I wanted it to be unique. And where do you turn when you want something unique? Etsy of course.
I bought this one from Etsy seller tabidesigns, she's in Sydney, Australia but she got it to me so quick and I love it. She also has adorable art prints and ACEOs in her shop.
While I was searching on Etsy, I also fell in love with this wristlet from DrikaB and bought it. She does amazing work and really pays attention to detail, even adding a cute little handmade leaves zipper pull. Not only does it fit in my big everyday bag, but its great for when I just want to take my keys, wallet, and cell somewhere. love it.
